Calling Mariachi Instructors!

Mariachi Viva (Albert D. Austin Mariachi Academy) is an instruction academy that has been teaching children grades 5 through 12 in the East Valley to play mariachi music for over 20 years.  Our mission is to preserve the rich musical and cultural heritage of the mariachi while promoting community, responsibility, and educational advancement.

What we’re looking for:

We need two instructors for Spring 2018 who can teach students to play mariachi music on a variety of instruments including guitarrón, trumpet, vihuela, violin, guitar.  Music reading instruction may also be required.  Classes are held on Monday and Wednesday evenings 6-8pm.  The group schedule follows the Mesa School District calendar.

If you believe as strongly as we do at Mariachi Viva  the importance of preserving the history, musical stories and the art of the mariachi, we’d love to meet you.
